Experiencing Colorado in the Fall

Fall is fast approaching and I think it tends to be a favorite season among a lot of people. Especially in our beautiful state of Colorado, it’s hard to beat the cooler temperatures, the fall colors and the plentiful activities to do.

Take a walk with us and lets show you some of the must-do things to add to your fall bucket list.

Activities to Enjoy

Colorado is full of active people always wanting to get out of the house and explore, so there are always little events and things happening that you can find. Here are a few that I think are a must-do! One of them is Denver Beer Week. It’s no secret that Coloradans love their beer, so let’s go for a whole week! Held September 30 – October 8, 2022. Things like beer tastings, competitions, food pairings and so much more. You can find a full list of their activities here.

Another must-do is the Fall Fest held in Boulder. This is a three-day fall festival hosted on Pearl Street with live music, local food vendors, local artists, and family entertainment. This is a free event happening September 16 – 18, 2022 and all of the information can be found on their site here.

Locations to see Fall Colors

An obvious thing that everyone needs to do is drive through the mountains for a glimpse into the colorful season. There are so many places you could go see the beautiful trees changing but here are a few recommendations to get you on your way. If you’re looking for a quick trip outside of Denver, driving up to Nederland you’re always guaranteed a pretty drive. There aren’t many places to stop along the way but it’s a quick and fun drive into the town of Nederland where you can stop for some coffee at The Train Car – Coffee & Yogurt before heading back down the mountain! It can get busy so plan accordingly.

Vail is another one. This one will take your breath away! The views are unbeatable and the abundance of aspen trees around Vail give views of fall all around. Coming from Denver this is going to be at least a day trip but also makes for a fun weekend! With so many places to stay and activities happening around this mountain town you can’t be bored!

If you want to be there to see the colors be sure to go at the right time! It’s always hard to estimate the best time for peak colors but anytime between mid September to mid October will be beautiful.

These are just a few of the many many things there are to do around Denver during this upcoming season. Get out and enjoy the time and comment back if there are any other must-do’s that are on your list this year!
