From highly rated schools, mountain views, open space, miles of paved trails, new homes, active communities, delicious restaurants, and all at a lower price point compared to its neighbor, Boulder. West Arvada also puts you roughly 30 minutes from Denver, 45 minutes from Eldora Ski Resort, and 20 minutes from boulder. With all this in mind, it's good to know what neighborhoods you should be looking in.
1. Candelas

Tucked in the Northwest corner of Arvada, Candelas has caught the interest of many. Score a good lot, and you'll be living in one of the most secluded feeling communities in Arvada.
Pros:
Newer homes
Great amenities; miles of paved trails, tennis courts, parks, baseball fields, basketball courts, two clubhouses with pools, gyms, and lounges
Mountain views
Backs to open space
Close proximity to Highway 93, and Highway 72
King Soopers, Local Restaurants, Brewery in the neighborhood
Lots of community events
Cons:
Rocky Flats History
Smaller lots
No large trees
Homes on far East side would back to the potential Jefferson Parkway
2. Leyden Rock

Just on the other side of Highway 72 from Candelas, sits Leyden Rock. With a similar timeline of construction as Candelas, this neighborhood has plenty of newer homes. Many who look for homes in Candelas often look in Leyden Rock too.

Great amenities; miles of paved trails, parks, two clubhouses with pools, gyms, and lounges
Mountain views
Close proximity to Highway 93
Lots of community events
Cons:
Proximity to dump site

3. Westwoods

Not too far south from Leyden Rock sits Westwoods. Located on a golfcourse, minutes away from westwoods elementary, and right around the corner from Tucker Lake this neighborhood can be the perfect place to call home.

Unique properties
Located on Westwoods Golf Course
Proximity to Tucker Lake

Cons:
Older homes
Higher Cost
Higher HOA
4. Quaker Acres

If you're looking for the most unique, older properties, with large lots then Quaker Acres might be your top choice. Just be prepared to be patient, as you don't see homes go on sale here often!

5. Whisper Creek

Located just east of Candelas, sits a very similar neighborhood by the name of whisper creek. If you want a newer home with lots of great trails and an active community this neighborhood might be for you.

Starbucks in neighborhood, and king soopers right across the road

Lots of trails
Great amenities
Lots of community events
Cons:
Homes close to each other
Not as much inventory as its neighbor Candelas
